Suffolk based food producer Scarlett & Mustard was one of 14 small businesses recently invited by the luxury London department store, Liberty, to be part of a new curated collection of artisan foods, crafted by producers from across the UK.  Launched as Liberty’s Mini British Food Hall, the store was on a ‘mission to uncover the best of British produce’.  They ‘scoured the UK for the country’s finest micro-producers, channelling their passion and expertise into an exclusive new food and drink offering.’

Liberty commissioned 14 cutting edge illustrators to design bespoke packaging and labels inspired by each producers’ journey.  Illustrator and print maker, Margaux Carpentier designed Scarlett & Mustard’s beautiful label.  The Passionfruit & Lemon Curd design drew inspiration from the company’s famous orange branding!

The Mini British Food Hall was launched on Friday 1st September, with a farmer’s type market running all day in neighbouring Carnaby Street allowing customers to try before they buy.

Sandy Ruddock, founder of Scarlett & Mustard which is based in Earl Soham, said “to be approached by such a prestigious retailer was a real honour for us.  We rarely make for anyone else, but this collaboration was such an interesting and worthwhile project – small businesses working with a top class retailer to bring the best of Britain to the world’s most discerning customers.  Thrilled!”
