New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership reflected upon a year of working with partners across the East to grow our economy, create jobs and improve skills, as the LEP hosted its Annual General Meeting in September at The International Aviation Academy-Norwich.
The AGM also gave an opportunity to look to the future, setting out the LEP’s ambitions and providing more detail of the plans to deliver the Economic Strategy for Norfolk and Suffolk.
For the first time this year, the LEP has produced an Annual Review to coincide with the AGM, providing a snapshot of all programmes and projects within one publication.
£22m approved through the LEP’s Growth Deal with Government,
£39.6m unlocked in private investment
£3.5m awarded in business support funding
309 learners and apprentices supported
The Aviation Academy celebrated its 1st birthday in August. It is a unique collaboration between the LEP, public and private sectors and education partners – the first of its kind in the world – providing training for the next generation of aviation professionals. The AGM will also be an opportunity to hear more about this project. The aviation theme will continue with a presentation on a successful campaign for the Visitor Economy of the East.
