Birkett Long LLP has helped Healthcare Homes Group boost their portfolio of residential and nursing homes to 37 homes, following the acquisition of two care homes in February and March 2018 under two separate transactions.
Healthcare Homes Group provides care and support to individuals either in the group’s homes, or via its homecare service, across East Anglia and the South of England. The Old Vicarage, in Dorset, and Haughgate House, in Woodbridge supports the group’s increasing geographic reach.
Birkett Long LLP advised Healthcare Homes Group on all legal matters relating to both acquisitions, working in conjunction with Real Estate Investment Trust, Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. lawyers, Arnold & Porter, addressing some complex structural arrangements to reflect the two party buyer nature of the deals. The Birkett Long team was led by Head of Commercial & Corporate Finance, Tracey Dickens, assisted by team member Tim Field, Martin Hopkins (Employment) and Melanie Bache (Commercial Real Estate).
Matt King, Group Finance Director for Healthcare Homes Group, stated: “It is with delight we can confirm two recent acquisitions this year. We are excited to increase our portfolio of homes to 37 and look forward to further growth in the future. Healthcare Homes Group have sought legal professional assistance from Birkett Long for 13 years. The highly reputable firm have always provided explicable legal solutions.”
Tracey Dickens said: “Birkett Long has worked with Healthcare Homes Group since its launch in 2005, and I am delighted to witness their continued growth and success and provide the legal assistance. The deals themselves were complex, but our expertise, in particular in the health sector, and multi-disciplinary approach means we provide an effective and complete legal solution for our clients.”
