Institute of Directors Recognises East of England Business Leaders
A HOST of leaders from successful businesses across a wide range of industry sectors have been announced as finalists in the IoD (Institute of Directors) East of England annual awards.
The 2018 awards, sponsored by Total Car Parks Ltd, will be held on Friday 15 June and four Suffolk directors have reached the shortlist.
They are:
- Doug Field, Joint Chief Exec of East of England Co-op based in Ipswich
- Michelle Pollard, Managing Director of Spider. Fixed Fee Web Recruitment based in Ipswich
- Laura Morrison, Managing Director of Your Telemarketing Ltd based in Bury St Edmunds
- Tarnia Robertson, Managing Director of Ufford Park Woodbridge, Hotel, Golf & Spa based in Woodbridge (Suffolk)
The winners of the Director of the Year Awards, which recognise leaders across the private, third and public sectors who have set exceptional standards of leadership and demonstrated good corporate governance, will be announced at a ceremony at The Jockey Club Rooms, Newmarket on Friday, 15 June. The Director General of the IoD, Stephen Martin, will be guest of honour at the ceremony.
Category winners will then be considered for the national Director of the Year Finals in London, where East of England-based business leaders will be judged against leaders from across the UK.
Simone Robinson, Head of Regional Relationships, IoD East of England, said that the entries were of the “highest quality”.
“The judging panel had an extremely difficult job in choosing the shortlist and all finalists deserve huge congratulations. We look forward to announcing the winners in June as we honour the outstanding leadership they have displayed within their organisations.”
The winners for nine different categories (Family Business; SME; Innovation; Global; Public/Third Sector;Start-Up; Non-Executive Director and Corporate Social Responsibility) plus a new Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Director and Board Practice will be announced at the Awards lunch on 15 June.
