Join the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) to learn more about its work to support business and grow the economy of Norfolk and Suffolk at its 2018 Annual General Meeting.
The AGM takes place at 1.30pm on 19 September at the International Aviation Academy–Norwich.
The LEP will be reflecting upon a year of working with partners across the East to grow the economy, create jobs and improve skills, but also looking to the future, setting out ambitions and discussing how to deliver the Economic Strategy for Norfolk and Suffolk. There will also be an opportunity to pose questions to the LEP Chair, Doug Field, and Chief Executive, Chris Starkie.
This AGM will also be an opportunity to hear more about International Aviation Academy–Norwich, which recently celebrated its 1st birthday. It is a unique collaboration between the LEP, public and private sectors and education partners – the first of its kind in the world – providing training for the next generation of aviation professionals. The aviation theme will continue with a presentation on a successful campaign for the visitor economy of the East.
Doug Field, Chair of New Anglia LEP, said “It’s been a great year for the LEP. We’ve supported hundreds of new businesses to create jobs across our two counties, funded crucial infrastructure projects and moved our skills agenda forward. We’re delighted to be hosted by International Aviation Academy–Norwich, a local success story and a great example of what we hope to achieve in the future for the region.”
