Hopkins Homes has once again been acclaimed at a prestigious national award to round off another fantastic year of industry recognition.
The multi award-winning housebuilder was awarded Gold in the hotly contested WhatHouse? Awards 2019 title for Best Regeneration for the company’s new flagship development at St George’s Park in Needham Market, Suffolk.
The awards are regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry and Hopkins Homes was praised for St George’s Park’s collection of thoughtfully designed homes with the judges commenting:
“As is typical of its developments throughout East Anglia, Hopkins Homes has incorporated a much higher number of house types than is typical on a scheme of this size. There is a wide range of architectural styles from the local vernacular to Georgian and Victorian influences, and the end result is a scheme that goes to great lengths to feel authentic and of its place rather than offering generic and characterless new-builds.”
Winning the award was the eighth significant industry recognition for Hopkins Homes in 2019, quickly following the Quality of Place Awards 2019 where the company’s Prospect Place development in Framlingham, Suffolk, was highly commended in the design category.
Lee Barnard, Sales and Marketing Director at Hopkins Homes, said: “It has been a fantastic year for Hopkins Homes and our commitment to excellent style, design and quality has been recognised with a range of regional and national awards.
“The WhatHouse? Awards celebrates the highest standards and the best new homes in the country. We are very pleased that our St George’s Park development in the bustling market town of Needham Market received the Gold award for Best Regeneration as all homes here were designed with their surroundings in mind; complementing and enhancing the Suffolk vernacular.”
The other major accolades achieved by Hopkins Homes during 2019 are:
· Quality of Place Awards, Design Category – Prospect Place, Framlingham, Suffolk
· BUILD Excellence Awards, Building New Homes – East Anglia
· BUILD Design Awards, New Home Builder of the Year – East Anglia

Hopkins Homes is the largest independent housebuilder in the East of England, providing much needed new homes across the region. The company has grown significantly in recent years and now builds over 1,000 homes a year.
Lee added: “We wouldn’t be receiving these prestigious awards and gaining national industry recognition if it wasn’t for the dedication and hard work of our team. We now look ahead to an equally exciting 2020.”
