Sharing Experience: Tony Stockman, Framlingham Technology Centre
What began as a solution for my own company’s growing needs, quickly evolved into a hub for innovation, collaboration and community.
Because a good concept is only the beginning. The real challenge – and opportunity – lies in the plan. After the devastation of Storm Babet, we didn’t just rebuild, we reimagined. Our £720,000 refurbishment wasn’t a patch-up job, it was a strategic investment in continuity; an investment in upgraded facilities, high-speed connectivity and a new co-working hub.
Thinking ahead
Continuity is often overlooked in business planning, yet it’s the thread that turns short-term wins into long-term impact. Ask yourself: how resilient is your business model? Do your systems support growth? My advice is:
- Start with a clear concept but don’t be afraid to evolve.
- Build a flexible plan.
- Prioritise continuity, in your infrastructure, relationships and mindset.
At Framlingham Technology Centre, we’ve seen more than 100 businesses go from one-man operations to multimillion-pound acquisitions. The secret? Strategy that’s grounded, adaptable and community driven.
