IT & Cyber Support: TwoPointZero IT
Most clients don’t need to know about IT and they don’t want to know about IT, they just want it to work. But there are so many providers in our industry that will still give them a lot of technical jargon that they don’t really understand.
Our idea was to walk into a business, and ask: “Where do you struggle with your IT and what can we do to make it easier?”
We wanted to go into a business and look at the whole structure – look at how they operate and what they do – and then build the systems around them. We wanted to ask about forward planning; always thinking ahead so that the systems would grow with the company, not hamper any potential growth.
We wanted to be a partner, not just go in with a load of equipment, plug it in and make it work.
Building relationships
Of course, our technical knowledge and wealth of experience are important, but more than that, we want our clients and their employees to have a relationship with us, so they feel confident in our expertise and comfortable calling about any issues they may have. It’s important that they enjoy working with us and see us as part of their team, not just from a contract point of view but also as friends. Why does it need to be so formal?
That human approach has been key to our organic growth. It is just clients speaking to other businesspeople and saying: “We use these guys, they’re really good, give them a go.”
And I like it like that.
When I’m talking to a new client and they have been referred by someone else, that’s the strongest type of lead you can possibly get. I think it always will be. You can have the best website in the world and adverts left, right and centre, but it’s still word of mouth that grows your reputation and therefore drives your success.
Today, we’ve got clients that started out when we did and their business has grown alongside us. We work with everyone, from the smallest start-ups to large national organisations where they need specialised IT, covering everything from basic infrastructure to cyber-attack protection, to essential certification for supply chains.
It’s good to talk
It’s about opening up a conversation more than anything. Whether that leads to a new client or it’s just a casual chat that solves a problem – I’m in. So, give me a call. I used to be a purely technical person, but now I really enjoy talking to people, helping them to find solutions and navigate the confusing world of technology. That’s satisfying to me.
We are called TwoPointZero because that’s what we are: the next generation of IT and cyber support. We want to make human connections, not just electronic ones. We want to show our personality, because that’s something we have in spades: personality.
