Running my recruitment business from Norfolk, I work closely with SMEs whose hires are simply too important to get wrong. My business revolves around getting them right.
At its heart, my work has always been about people – understanding what really matters to them and helping them find what both they and their businesses need. I’ve built my consultancy in a way that reflects who I am, keeping things honest, personal and grounded in genuine relationships.
Outside of work, life is just as people-focused, whether that’s spending time with my husband or my grown-up kids (of whom I am ever so proud), or meeting up with friends.
Nearly thirty years on from moving up from Essex, Norfolk is very much home – although a little of the Essex girl still remains, of course.

Describe yourself in three words?
Warm, genuine, brave.
What was your first job?
It was with Essex Radio in Southend as a Sales Coordinator, which is why radio still holds a place in my heart. I even got to make Alvin Stardust (complete with black glove) a cuppa. He said: “Thanks, babe!”
What frustrates you?
Bad manners and rudeness really get to me. Also, people who are inconsiderate. The list could go on…
How do you spend your leisure time?
Nothing too exciting, but much treasured time with my husband, kids and friends, doing pretty much anything. I also love TV, such as Schitt’s Creek, Peaky Blinders and a good true crime documentary.
What is your go-to comfort food?
Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.
What temptation can’t you resist?
See above!
Where are you happiest?
By the sea, no matter the weather, usually with my sausage dog, Dan.
What is your number one karaoke song?
Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus.
At school, what were you good at?
I was a good girl, so fairly steady across the board, though French was probably my best subject.
It’s easier to say what I wasn’t good at – any type of sport! I tried, but sadly, I’m not a natural.
What would be your plan B as a career?
An actress on stage and screen (Oscar-winning, of course). Never too late, I suppose.
Which one luxury could you not live without?
Aside from chocolate? My bathroom – it’s packed with gorgeous products.
Which three people, dead or alive, would you invite as dinner guests?
My darling and much missed Dad, Lionel. Along with Dawn French and Michelle Obama. And as a bonus, Daniel Craig would be there by default, every time.
If you could time travel, where would you go and why?
Back to Southend in the 80s and 90s, with all my family together for Christmas: parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, children running around. Beautiful memories.
How many attempts before you passed your driving test?
Two. The first time, I remember cutting someone up while turning right, only to realise I knew them. They waved; I waved back. Ridiculous!
