Essex Opportunities
Find out what’s available for free, including financial support to offer apprenticeships and free courses to boost your workforce’s maths skills.
Working families
Would you like to support local residents to re-enter the workplace? Perhaps one of your employees is lacking in confidence after taking a break. Or maybe you’d like to offer someone their first employment opportunity.
The Essex Opportunities Working Families Adviser is here to help!
Not only can they offer CV, application, and interview advice to those looking to enter or re-enter the workplace, but they can also match employers with those seeking a fresh opportunity.
In 2022, the Working Families Adviser helped over 90 residents to secure employment, access further or higher education, or volunteer in their community. Find out more about how the Adviser could help your business by:

Apprenticeships
Want to offer an apprenticeship but worried about the cost? Then why not try the Essex Apprenticeship Levy Transfer Service (EALTS)?
The EALTS matches larger businesses with smaller organisations. By donating up to 25% of their apprenticeship levy, larger businesses can enable SMEs to hire apprentices or offer an apprenticeship to their employees without incurring the full training costs. The EALTS will support both organisations along the way, with insightful advice on providing apprenticeships and practical guidance on transferring the levy.
You can find out more about recruiting apprentices and offering apprenticeships, by visiting the Essex Opportunities Apprenticeship Hub at www.essexopportunities.co.uk/apprenticeship-hub. The Apprenticeship Hub showcases useful resources, FAQs and practical guidance to support prospective apprentices and recruiters alike.
