The free event will be held at the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange and is in connection with the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce new initiative, Business Climate Leaders.

The day-long event is for not only businesses but the whole community. Businesses will be given the opportunity to showcase their services and products to help both businesses and the community on their net-zero journey, as well as supporting Norfolk businesses to reduce their carbon emissions.

Business Climate Leaders has recently been launched by the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce to support SMEs who want to either start or develop their climate journey.

Chris Sargisson, CEO of Norfolk Chambers of Commerce says, “The SME community, and the wider community, is expected to find time and resources to ‘seek’ and ‘go figure’ on their climate journey. We’ve got some incredible businesses here in Norfolk who can really help, and we’d love to connect the two. We’re really excited to host this event with the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and looking forward to hearing the success stories of the collaborations”.

Councillor Paul Kunes, cabinet member for the environment for the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, added: “Tackling climate change will be achieved through a collective effort by individuals, businesses and governments. The council is committed to its own contribution to this effort and is taking significant steps to reduce its own carbon footprint. I’m therefore delighted to support this event, which will bring together businesses in west Norfolk who are committed to reducing their environmental impact with those who can help them on their journey to net zero. This could bring multiple benefits for local businesses as reducing CO2 emissions can also help to reduce energy costs.”
