The Raceday is one of the first events in the Festival of Suffolk which will see activities taking place across the county to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Speaking of the announcement, James Hopkins, Managing Director of Denbury Homes said: “The Spring Meeting on The Rowley Mile at one of the county’s iconic sporting venues is the perfect way to help get the Festival of Suffolk underway. As a regional builder we are very proud of our Suffolk roots and it’s a pleasure to feel the buzz and excitement around the county as we look forward to a busy summer!”
The company will sponsor the first race of the day – The Denbury Homes Fairway Stakes and later, The Denbury Homes British EBF Fillies Novice Stakes.
Sophie Able, General Manager of Newmarket Racecourses said: “We’re delighted to have the support of Denbury Homes for the Festival of Suffolk Race Day. It promises to be a wonderful celebration of the county with some high-class racing, in keeping with Her Majesty’s passion for the sport, and a fitting start to a wonderful series of events taking place to mark this historic year.”
The day, which is also in aid of the Cambridge Children’s Hospital project, will feature lots of family friendly activities alongside the racing.
