Kickstart your plans by joining the University of East Anglia’s (UEA) ‘Help to Grow: Management’ course with Norwich Business School.
Led by UEA academics, the course equips your business with tools and strategies to bolster capability and resilience. It also provides an environment where you can meet and learn from other business leaders on a proven programme, covering topics in a structured, time-efficient, blended style, rather than being taken away from the business.
Gaining knowledge
The blended learning programme is structured across 50 hours with 12 scheduled teaching sessions, delivered as interactive webinars and face-to-face case study workshops on UEA premises. Participants also benefit from peer-to-peer online sessions and networking in small groups with the course director, as well as one-to-one sessions with a business mentor ensuring further support tailored to your business and particular issues.
Importantly, the course curriculum has been created alongside business leaders and industry experts. Participants will enhance their management and strategic abilities, learn how to innovate, and adopt digital technologies to boost productivity and operational agility. They will also graduate with a ‘Growth Action Plan’, bespoke to their business and, via the alumni programme, will continue to benefit from ongoing learning and networking opportunities.

‘Help to Grow: Management’ is a nationwide course which has become well established in the region, and 70+ regional businesses from a wide range of sectors – including science and technology, electronics and aviation, social enterprise, retail, and logistics – have participated to date.
As a member of the Small Business Charter, Norwich Business School is delighted to offer applications for its fifth and sixth cohorts, starting on September 30, 2024 and January 6, 2025.
The course supports managers and leaders of SMEs with 5-249 employees, and those with 10+ employees may apply for two places. The 12-week programme is designed to fit alongside full-time work and is 90% funded by the Government, meaning the fee payable by participants is £750.
