Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (pictured), presented Climbing Trees with the King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development on September 5th 2024. The award recognises Climbing Trees’ unwavering commitment to sustainable development and its role as a leader in promoting sustainability within the marketing industry.
The company specialises in ethical performance ads and SEO, and is dedicated to making a positive impact for other ethical brands as well as on the planet. Key clients include: e-commerce giants Olympus Cameras, B2B organisations such as Volvo Construction, renowned charities like Greenpeace and The Wombles.
The Climbing Trees team received the Grant of Appointment, signed by HRH King Charles III, together with a commemorative trophy, presented by Mrs Tolhurst on behalf of His Majesty the King, at a celebratory reception at Wivenhoe House Hotel in Colchester (see photos).
The King’s Awards for Enterprise 2024 celebrate the achievements of 252 UK businesses across four categories: Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development, and Promoting Opportunity through social mobility. Household names like Timpson Group have been recognised this year alongside Climbing Trees, for their outstanding achievements. Only 29 companies in the UK won the prestigious ‘Sustainable Development’ award in 2024 and Climbing Trees was the only company in Essex to receive the accolade.
