Actor, comedian and Suffolk resident, Omid Djalili will chair a free panel discussion and audience Q&A to examine the issues around Ipswich potentially achieving city status in the future.

Hosted by the University of Suffolk in collaboration with Ipswich Central, panellists from a range of sectors — including University of Suffolk Vice-Chancellor, Professor Helen Langton and Elma Glasgow, founder of Aspire Black Suffolk — will begin the discussion, which will then broaden out into an audience Q&A. Suffolk is currently without a city and the event will examine issues around how acquiring city status can shape a town’s future.

Pre-event refreshments will be available from 5.45pm and again once the discussion has concluded at 8.00pm.
