This marks a significant milestone in Lidl’s ongoing expansion within the region and follows on from the successful completion of the building works by Ipswich Borough Assets and Brooks and Wood.
The new Lidl store, strategically located at the thriving Anglia Retail Park, is set to enhance the retail offering for the local community. With Ipswich Borough Assets delivering the building on time and to the highest standards, Lidl is now able to begin transforming the space into a modern, customer-friendly shopping environment.
Lidl’s investment in this new store underscores the company’s commitment to providing residents of Ipswich and the surrounding areas with greater access to its award-winning product range, which includes fresh produce, bakery items, and household essentials.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader (pictured right), says:
“The opening of Lidl at Anglia Retail Park is a fantastic development for Ipswich, reflecting our commitment to economic growth and improving local amenities. The store fit-out will be conducted over the coming months, with an anticipated pre-Christmas opening date.

As well as Ipswich Borough Assets and Brooks & Wood, the project team for the new store included an additional local business – Ipswich-based, Superstructures, who carried out the structural and civil design.
