Ormiston Families has been working across the East of England for over 40 years to take early and preventative action to support families to be safe, healthy and resilient. The charity’s services help people to build stronger networks, learn from experience and feel in control of their own wellbeing.

These services include Mpower and YouCanBe, supporting women with their self- esteem, Breaking Barriers, working with children and young people who have a close relative in prison, Small Steps Together, helping parents with their perinatal mental health, and Stars, a specialist bereavement support and counselling service for 4–19-year-olds.

On Friday 4th February, a partnership launch event was held at Seven Resourcing’s head office at Adastral Park, Martlesham. Ormiston Families ran several workshops throughout the day to meet staff and introduce them to the charity.

On the day, staff had the opportunity to find out more about the planned fundraising events and activities planned for the year, as well as take part in a charity raffle.

Seven Resourcing is a multi-award-winning global recruitment agency and Future 50 company. Established in 2011 to provide a fast, responsive and reliable service for the Social Care sector, Seven now operates across 8 core sectors with offices in Ipswich, Colchester, Miami and the Gold Coast.

Seven’s expert consultants understand the frustrations and pressures experienced by candidates and employers working in Ormiston Families’ sectors, working tirelessly to ensure they find the perfect match for hard-to-fill roles.

Trusted by public, private and government organisations across the world, Seven guarantees a friendly, hassle-free recruitment service underpinned by honesty, integrity and attention to detail.

Over the next 12 months, Seven Resourcing is aiming to raise £10,000. Ormiston Families has an exciting calendar of fundraising events and activities planned, including a skydive, a Yorkshire ‘3 Peaks’ challenge and The Whole Hog obstacle course and mud race to name a few. Seven Resourcing will also be joining Ormiston Families’ Brighter Business Network, as well as volunteering their time to engage with schools the charity supports and mentor some of the students.

Ormiston Families will be supporting Seven Resourcing’s fundraising activities and delivering regular virtual and in-person sessions on wellbeing and mental health for staff. The charity will also deliver ‘get to know’ meetings with practitioners and therapists to find out more about their work.

Kate Higgs, Income Generation & Marketing Director at Ormiston Families, spoke of her delight at the new partnership:

“Ormiston Families is delighted to be forming a new partnership with Seven Resourcing. With their understanding of the types of services we provide and the people we support, this is a great opportunity to open more doors to help create brighter futures for children and families across the East of England.”

Richard Cooke, Seven Resourcing’s Owner & Managing Director, echoed Kate’s excitement:

“It’s an honour to be in partnership with a wonderful local charity like Ormiston Families. At Seven Resourcing, we’ve been recruiting health and social care professionals across East Anglia for over a decade, so we really do understand how important their services are.”

“As soon as we saw what Ormiston Families do to support our community, we were inspired. With a calendar packed full of exciting fundraisers, we just can’t wait to get started.”
