About Jonathan
Back in 2017, I found myself on the corporate treadmill, commuting in and out of London, travelling for six hours each day. I was working in tech and openly admit I was not prioritising my health. Almost overnight, I decided to make a change and become a better role model to my kids. So, I gave up the London lifestyle, lost 11 stone in weight in 12 months, and joined Paddy & Scott’s Coffee as Managing Director.
Q&A’s
What is your biggest weakness? People…I always seek to bring the best out in people.
Where are you happiest? Visiting our coffee farm and local community in Kenya. I’m so proud that we are genuinely changing lives for coffee farmers around the world. Visiting the Ruiga Primary School and seeing the kids flourishing, is a privilege and responsibility I take very seriously.
What was the first record you bought? I’m embarrassed to confess it was a duet by Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. Next question!
At school, what were you good at? Creative writing and being goalkeeper in the hockey team (I found it exhilarating, having people whack a ball at me).
What one material thing could you not do without? I’m sorry to say my mobile.
You’d go to a fancy-dress party as? Based on the above, probably a mobile telephone.
What poster did you have on your bedroom wall as a child? Not Kylie Minogue or Jason Donovan.
How many attempts before you passed your driving test? Two. I remember NOT driving in a bus lane and subsequently failing my first test. Even though I was only 17, let’s just say I didn’t take it lying down!
