About Lewis Buckley

It’s great to be back featuring in Norfolk Director Magazine, especially with this being my first ever feature as a business owner! It’s been a busy ten months since launching Focalise Finance. The leap was daunting but, so far, I’ve loved almost every minute.

The business is already proving to attract a strong number and vast range of clients – from new businesses to established firms – all looking at continuing their growth. Focalise looks to act with long term interests in mind, working repeatedly with clients throughout their business journey.

On a personal level, I love the variation of clients and sectors that we work with, and the way in which the lenders we introduce them to transact. It’s the old saying ‘variety is the spice of life’, or maybe that’s just me trying to make it all sound exciting!

A few extra, mildly interesting facts about me…

  • Officially I’m classed as a uni dropout – I’m too much of a doer to stick out the full course!
  • I’m fortunate to have a great support network around me – my business partner Mikey Seago, great friends and family, but most of all my partner, Laura. The biggest battle between us is what dog we get soon (Stan the Beagle has to win for me).
  • Heights scare me, but I’ve pushed myself to do a helicopter ride down the Vegas strip, a rollercoaster on top of a hotel and a 30ft freefall in Portugal (high-pitched scream included).
  • Although I’m always keen for a chat and uber-sociable, I sometimes enjoy working on my own (usually on a spreadsheet).
