Describe yourself in three words? Hardworking, driven and determined.
What was your first job? My first proper job was as an accounts junior at a small insurance company. Prior to that, I did a paper round, and a Saturday job working in a newsagent.
What frustrates you? Less things as I get older. Understanding what drives and motivates people and also awareness of people’s situations/mental health has led more to interpretation and empathy than frustration. Unless you upset my children of course – that’s a totally different matter!
How do you spend your leisure time? With family and friends, walking, and nice meals out.
What’s your favourite television programme? Much to my husband’s disgust, I am a bit of a soap fan! Eastenders being my favourite.
What’s your favourite food? Does gin count?
What food do you hate? I have four main hates: lemon meringue pie, liver, baked beans, and sweetcorn – not necessarily in that order.
What is your biggest weakness? Self-criticism, I can be a bit too hard on myself at times.
Where are you happiest? At home with my family.
What was the first record you bought? A Little Time by The Beautiful South.
At school, what were you good at? I literally got a GCSE B in everything, but my one A was in Art!
What one material thing could you not do without? One?? my car, my phone, hair straighteners, coffee machine. I could go on and on….
You’d go to a fancy-dress party as? Whatever the theme was? I’m always up for a laugh!
What poster did you have on your bedroom wall as a child? Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block.
How many attempts before you passed your driving test? Moving on…
