Suffolk-based drinks producer nears £100,000 donation milestone to local food and drink charity

James White Drinks is approaching a significant milestone in its long-standing support of the Food & Drink Fund, a charitable fund administered by Suffolk Community Foundation, with total donations set to reach £100,000 in the coming months.

Over the past eight years, the leading British producer of premium, natural fruit and vegetable juices has so far contributed £94,000 to the fund, helping to support projects that tackle food inequality and improve access to healthy, nutritious food across Suffolk.

In the past year alone, James White Drinks donated £25,000, marking one of its largest annual contributions to date.

The Food & Drink Fund brings together collective contributions from businesses across the food and drink sector to support a wide range of local charities and community groups. Grants focus on initiatives that expand access to healthy food, build cooking skills and improve nutritional awareness, particularly amongst children, young people and families facing disadvantage.

Through sustained support of donations from industry partners like James White Drinks, the fund continues to make a meaningful difference in communities across the country. Recent initiatives include working with the Befriending Scheme, which helps reduce social isolation while supporting older residents with access to nutritious meals, and ActivLives, which runs community programmes that combine physical activity with practical food education and healthy cooking guidance.

The Fund has also supported organisations such as Families Together Suffolk, which helps families develop essential cooking skills and build confidence in preparing affordable and healthy meals at home.

For James White Drinks, the partnership reflects a broader commitment to responsible business and meaningful local impact. Founded in the Suffolk countryside, the company has built its reputation rooted in character, quality and distinctive flavour by offering bold taste with natural ingredients.

Lawrence Mallinson, founder of James White Drinks, said: “Reaching nearly £100,000 in donations to the Food & Drink Fund is something we’re incredibly proud of. As a business that was born and built in Suffolk, we believe strongly in giving back to the community that has supported us for many years.

“The work the fund supports is vital, and knowing that our contribution helps to support local charities and community groups tackle food inequality and strengthen our community makes this partnership especially meaningful.”

With the £100,000 milestone in reach, James White Drinks has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its support of the Food & Drink Fund in the years ahead to ensure more local charities and community groups can deliver programmes that will strengthen the health and wellbeing across Suffolk.

Fran Wright, Philanthropy Manager at Suffolk Community Foundation added “We are so grateful for the ongoing support and engagement from James White Drinks for our Food & Drink Fund.

“Our relationship with James White Drinks and their donation each year is vital and helps us to distribute funding to local grassroot charities that are addressing some of the most pressing issues on food inequality and nutrition. As an example, 21.5% of reception aged children in Suffolk are classified as overweight or obese*, the Fund plays a vital role in helping communities build healthier futures.”
