For 142 years, Suffolk Chamber has worked alongside businesses across the county, representing their interests and helping create opportunities. Its work has evolved alongside the changing needs of Suffolk businesses.
The award recognises Suffolk Chamber’s impact across the county and the achievements of the businesses it represents. Whether making Suffolk’s voice heard nationally, helping businesses reach international markets or addressing barriers such as skills, its work is focused on business growth, with investment and supply chain programmes creating new opportunities and contributing to Suffolk’s economy.
John Dugmore, Chief Executive of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Winning UK Chamber of the Year is a tremendous honour for Suffolk Chamber and a fantastic recognition for Suffolk’s business community.
“This award belongs to everyone who has played a part in our journey. I want to thank our members, patrons, Board, Chamber chairs, sponsors and partners, as well as the many businesses and organisations that have worked alongside us over the years.
“Most of all, I am incredibly proud of the entire Suffolk Chamber team. Their commitment to businesses across the county makes what we do possible. We have achieved a great deal together, and we are excited about what comes next.”
Catherine Johnson, President of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said:
“This award puts Suffolk’s business community firmly on the national stage and reflects the strength we have here in the county.
“Recognition like this matters because it shows that Suffolk is not simply responding to major economic opportunities, but has a real part to play in shaping what comes next.”
Ashley Shorey-Mills, Supply Chain Director at Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Winning UK Chamber of the Year is an important recognition of what our supply chain team has achieved and, more importantly, what that work has delivered for local and regional businesses.
“Over £1 billion has now been spent with Suffolk businesses through Sizewell C, showing the scale of opportunity major projects can bring to our county. “Through projects such as the Generate Energy Supply Chain, along with our wider supply chain work, we want to build on that success by attracting further investment into Suffolk, while making sure local businesses are well placed to benefit, leaving the greatest legacy for our region.”
