Cosy Aromas, a candle and wax melt company, has had huge success as an online retailer but now has its first premises at Beach Street in Felixstowe last week.
The couple behind the business, Paul and Tamar Mayne, started the company in 2018 and have always had the ambition to create destination shops in key high street locations.
Its first venture saw the boutique store open at 10am on December 4 and attract more than 125 customers over the span of the weekend, exceeding sales targets by more than 200%.
Paul Mayne, director at Cosy Aromas, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with how the shop opening went and we are grateful for each and every customer that visited the store on the opening weekend.
“We have always had the ambition to open our own store and so this really is a dream come true for us and it is a testament to all of the hard work and determination that has been put in by the team over the years.
“I would encourage anyone who is interested to come and take a look at the amazing scents and products we have on offer.”
The store is open from 10am-5pm Thursday through to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays. It has a wide range of Cosy Aromas’ 28g sample pot scents, full-sized 110g pots as well as exclusive Christmas candles.
Beach Street, Felixstowe, is a brand-new retail site where all outlets are based in refurbished shipping containers which take inspiration from BOXPARK in Shoreditch
Other retailers at the site offer products including clothing, gifts, art and bath bombs. There are also various food and drink outlets.
