TEAM INFOTEX SET TO GO THE WHOLE HOG FOR CHARITY

A team of colleagues are set to battle a muddy course all in the name of charity. Eight workers from Melton-based firm Infotex are taking on one of the toughest obstacle courses around, the Whole Hog, at Wantisden on Sunday.

The team will be scrambling over cargo nets, through tunnels, climbing up steep banks and walls, wading through rivers and swinging across monkey bars in aid of Home-Start.

Ant Agar, managing director of Infotex, said: “The team have been training hard for the Whole Hog, although it has proved a shock to the system!

“Infotex took part in the Whole Hog once before, seven years ago now, so it was well overdue for us to give the course another go.

“This time, we’ll be running for Home-Start and I’m so impressed with the work the charity does.

“This winter is going to be another tough one for countless families across the country who are lacking the support they need post-pandemic, with rising costs and abundant uncertainties.

“We’re all a bit daunted but we know that anything we can raise will help to make a huge difference. Home-Start really do make the most of every single pound they receive.”

The eight-strong team includes Ant Agar, Shaun Bailey, James Fulford, Matt Adlem, Tom Berry, Alice Mottram, Katie Robinson and Chloe Agar.

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through challenging times.

The charity supports 56,000 children in 27,000 families across the UK in a unique, individual and caring way.

Jamie, from Home-Start UK’s fundraising team, said: “We want to wish everyone in the Infotex team good luck for the Whole Hog event, and we want to thank Infotex for their continued support of Home-Start.

“The families that Home-Start work with have always faced challenges, but the last two years have been especially tough.

“The work of Home-Start is needed more than ever in communities right across the UK which is why this support is so vital.” To sponsor the team, visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/infotex
