‘Unleash your potential’ county`s business leaders set to be told by Olympic Champion.

SUFFOLK’S business leaders will be urged by Olympic Champion Sally Gunnell to ‘unleash your potential’, at a celebratory event taking place this Summer.

Ms Gunnell, who is the only woman to hold the World, Olympic, European and Commonwealth Gold medals at the same time, is set to deliver a motivational and engaging address as part of a business lunch to mark the 10th anniversary of award-winning East Anglian company, MAD-HR.

Taking place at The Hangar, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall on 11th July, the event, entitled ‘Unleashing Your Potential’ is open to leaders of businesses from across the region and will also include a fundraising element, in support of Suffolk charity, Inspire.

The timing of Ms Gunnell’s keynote delivery is particularly significant, given the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will be just two weeks away.

In her address, the sporting celebrity will reveal how an athlete’s mindset can be the key to enhancing business performance.

MAD-HR, which has repeatedly been crowned with various business accolades across East Anglia in recent years and was again awarded the prestigious Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award back in February, is keen to celebrate its milestone with an event which ‘gives back’ to the business community, and provides valuable insight, learning and motivation – as well as great entertainment.

Carole Burman, founder and managing director of MAD-HR, said: “After such a busy decade of business across our region, with significant client growth and the creation of a phenomenal team, there was no way we would have let our first 10 years of trading slip by without celebration.

“It’s a perfect opportunity for myself, Charlotte and our colleagues to thank so many people who have supported us, or who retain our services – and to at the same time let them hear from an outstanding champion in her field.”

Ms Burman continued: “Sally is such an incredible talent and someone from whom so much can be learned – particularly as regards motivation, working with a team, responding to change and challenge, and always celebrating the victories in whatever form.

“It feels like a huge honour to have had Sally accept our invitation and agree to speak at the lunch. We cannot wait to see how our guests will react, and we’re very much looking forward to a memorable event in all respects.”

The celebration event will be raising money for regional charity, Inspire, and will include a two course meal with wine, as well as fundraising games and an Olympic themed raffle.

Tickets cost £75 each. Alternatively, tables can be purchased for £700 for 10 people.

The event takes place between 12 noon and 4pm on 11th July 2024.
