Professional Recruiters: Compass Point Recruitment

In a world that has been ever changing recently, businesses have had to be no different. Being agile has enabled us to adjust and adapt, to enable quick decisions to be made in the best interest of our company and employees. Therefore, having a model which allows you to work in this way is crucial to success.

At Compass Point Recruitment, we have been able to navigate through this time with little impact to our business, whilst futureproofing and preparing to pivot again should the need arise. As experienced recruiters, we are used to working with “moveable parameters”; our clients and candidates frequently have evolving needs, so we must be mentally agile and able to refocus and change perspective to enable us to meet those requirements.

No bureaucratic tape here!

Giving autonomy to our professionally trained consultants who are specialists within their own sectors, enables us to be quick and agile and respond to our clients’ and candidates’ requirements.

More recently we have recognised that as a local recruiter, some of our clients were not able to plan their recruitment strategy but we were still keen to support them in any way we could. For instance, using our market knowledge, we launched a ‘Lets Buy Local’ campaign. Aimed at other SMEs in Suffolk who had relevant products to offer other businesses, such as sanitizing products, safety screens, distancing tape and PPE, we put people in touch via a WhatsApp group for quick responses and on-hand support. This gained great feedback amongst other MDs and business owners, and enabled people to feel ‘connected’ and not so isolated during such an uncertain time.

At Compass Point Recruitment, we pride ourselves on offering our clients solutions, working consultatively to really understand what is missing in their business. We listen to the brief and sometimes challenge on what that might look like, and whether they have considered things such as succession planning, matching values and cultural fit, or finding a solution internally first etc. This occasionally means the answer is always there and they just needed pointing in the right direction.

For us, it is NOT about a quick win

We can offer business partner style support, often at no cost to your organisation.

Too often in businesses we see undervalued and overworked cultures, with employees feeling that they are merely a cog in a huge wheel. We know how important it is, that the workforce feel able to make decisions and work in an autonomous and flexible way. This is true of Compass Point Recruitment. As accredited members of the REC, we strive for best working practices; we have the power to work flexibly, making swift decisions without the red tape and bureaucracy.

We think it is fair to say that the future is more uncertain now than it has ever been. With the world and technology changing at a rapid pace, only companies equipped to react to that change without compromising on quality, and who are agile enough, will excel.
