Team effort and the expert guidance of risk compliance specialist, VARTAN, has seen leading European freight specialist, Jordon, secure its ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.
Securing this international standard, which Felixstowe-based Jordon will utilise to assist customers in their global trade channels, demonstrates the freight specialist’s commitment to achieving excellence across all aspects of its operation and to fully meet customers’ needs.
VARTAN, which is also based in Felixstowe, led Jordon through the quality management system accreditation process, from its start in early 2017, to its successful conclusion just over a year later. This successful achievement enables Jordon to offer a comprehensive set of logistics solutions ranging from collection, to the tracking and delivery of full or part loads across Europe and the UK.
Jon Swallow, director at Jordon says: “Working towards this accreditation was never a tick box exercise for us. Continuous improvement is at the bedrock of how we operate, but for ISO 9001:2015 it was vital to have the support and commitment of colleagues across all aspects of our business. By taking our time, and with VARTAN’s specialist help, we got it right and are very proud of the accreditation.”
Miles Vartan, managing director of VARTAN adds: “The commitment of everyone at Jordon to go the extra mile to achieve ISO 9001:2015 was evident from the outset. ISO 9001 has been realigned against a framework called Annex SL with all 9001 holders having to migrate to the 2015 version by September this year. Annex SL will gradually be reflected across other standards with ISO 45001 with Health & Safety having been launched in March. For companies such as Jordon, Annex SL provides an architecture which is consistent across both 9001 and 45001. Having successfully completed 9001 Jordon is now ideally placed to pursue future ISO quality standards.
“Going forward, Jordon’s clients can be reassured that the company will offer the service that is required of them, whilst at the same time consistently meeting the exacting standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).”
Jon Swallow concludes: “By applying Jordon’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to whatever post-Brexit scenario the UK ends up with, not only will our industry-best service levels be maintained; we will be able to demonstrate our ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements.
