Since its launch in 1998, Ipswich Computer Services (ICS) has grown to offer so much more than the current name might suggest.

So, allow me to disrupt the possible perceptions…

For a start, our client base extends far beyond our hometown of Ipswich, with a wide range of contracts throughout Suffolk and into Essex and Norfolk. Yes, we offer ‘computer services’, but that actually covers everything from comprehensive IT support to complete system design, hardware supply and repair, networks, and telecoms, along with cloud and data security services.

It is by covering all these bases – and calling on years of experience working with companies from many different industries – that we help our customers achieve the best return on their IT investment, whatever the requirements.

The story so far

In the last 26 years, we have grown the business on recommendation and word-of-mouth alone, building our reputation as a trusted service provider in the area.

Establishing good relationships has been the key to our success.

Whether it is an ad hoc call or contracts, we put customer service front and centre of everything we do, working face to face – that all-important personal touch – and offering a speedy response to all enquiries by phone, email, or in person – not via a ticketing system. To complement this, all our account managers are IT engineers, so each client gets a consistency of service from someone who knows their business well and fits in like a team member.

In summary, we pride ourselves on being friendly, professional, accessible, and reliable, and it is this level of service – along with our company ethos of ‘customer first’ – that has allowed us to retain clients, many of whom have been with us from the beginning.

We are pleased to announce that our engineer, Craig Starling, has stepped into the role of director, bringing with him six years of experience in the business and a fresh approach to how ICS moves forward and grows.

As a first step, we will be looking at re-branding in a way that reflects the company’s position today – as a wide-reaching, full service, trusted IT specialist and provider; a new brand for a new era.

Exciting times ahead so watch this space – but don’t worry, while the branding might change, what will stay is our commitment to focus on the client and their needs. In that we will never falter.
