Business networking provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and information with other business owners and the opportunity to meet potential new clients and suppliers. Mixing with other businesses is a great way for business owners and freelancers to widen their scope of potential new business partners and obtaining word of mouth recommendations and introductions.
It can be daunting for a beginner, but networking is a core business skill and once mastered will bring rewards.
Nick Pandolfi a host of MENTA’s Coffee Means Business networking events said, “Effective business networking is the linking together of business people who, through trust and relationship building, become walking, talking advertisements for one another.
“The meetings are friendly, informal and a great way of building those all-important business contacts. I’ve seen great relationships built up and business done from these connections.
“A company or business owner can feel isolated, that they’re the only person experiencing the challenges of running an enterprise. Our invited speakers share their experiences and ideas for business growth. At Coffee Means Business, Bury St Edmunds on the 12th April Charlie Dalton, creator of Smart Garden Offices told his story of successes and a few hiccups, which delegates found inspiring.”
Anita Costello of Anita4Bowen a Bowen Technique practitioner attended and said, “Hearing about what Charlie has achieved was fantastic, he shared some useful insights. Networking is about making new contacts, listening and asking questions of other business owners as well as sharing business information.”
Coffee Means Business will next be held on 3rd May at Baythorne Hall near Haverhill and on the 10th May at The Clubhouse, Bury Town Football Club. All events start at 9.30am and finish at 11.30am.
